How Should You Apply Beard Oil

When grooming your beard it is best to start off with a clean beard. A clean beard will absorb the oil more readily, and it will go directly onto the strands. If you already have product on your beard from the previous day, the oil will only sit on top of the product. Here is a plug, dry your beard with a t-shirt or microfiber towel. It will keep your beard from becoming frizzy and feeling rough. The good part about starting off with a freshly washed beard is that the cuticles (the outer most layer of the hair) will be slightly open, therefore, allowing oils to slide right into the strands and begin to moisturize. The way to make sure that the cuticles are open is to rinse with cool, not warm water. Warm water will close the cuticles. Beard oil should nourish your beard, not make it feel like gook is in it. The oil should have a smooth light texture and consistency to it. It should almost feel like a conditioner to your beard. Before you begin to apply the oil, start by placing 3-5 drops of oil, depending on the thickness and length of your beard, on the palms of your hands, applying it evenly from root to tip, once evenly applied genlty rub your palms along the sides of your beard to your chin, then, genlty rub down the chin - down the lenth of the beard. After these steps comb or brush the beard on both sides and down the front.

For a silky shine and healthy beard allow us to recommend our Humble Man Nourish and Shine Oil. This oil has all natural ingredients with a nice Polo note. When you want to groom your beard with a healthy and robust oil; try this so you can get your beard game on.

A quick tip:

As you go through your routine, pay attention to how your beard behaves. What makes it more manageble, more shiny, more soft? As you pay attention to these things, you will be able to groom and grow your beard with a bigger smile on that handsome face.
