I Trimmed My Ends And They Are Splitting Again!!!!

Let's jump right into it. Trimming your ends is healthy for your hair. You may dust your ends every few months.

Here are some ways you can combat the split-end blues.

- Focus On Your Ends

Your ends are the oldest part of your hair. This means, it is more prone to damage from heat, lack of moisture and manipulation. Let's just say, it's fragile. So, you must handle it with care. When you apply products for the health of your hair be sure to apply it to your ends. Don't skip the ends; they play a role in length retention. If your ends are splitting up the hair shaft, eventually, your hair will begin to break off. By the time you decide to trim the split ends you could lose a good deal of length.

- Be very Gentle With Your Hair

When preparing for wash day, work through your hair in sections. This will give you leverage to brush, comb, or finger detangle more easily. Take your time and perform this step.

If you are not wearing updos and your hair is out, give your ends love often. Your ends are exposed to free radicals in the environment. If you keep in mind that your ends are the oldest most fragile part of your hair, the way you handle it will reflect that.

When doing updos that require tucked ends be extra gentle. Tuck gently and carefully. Before you tuck, place a moisturizer/oil on your ends for protection and nutrition while you wear the style. If you are placing bobby pins, do not use pins that are not coated. This coating keeps your ends from getting snagged and chopped by the metal underneath.

- When You Get A Trim

When it is time to trim your ends make sure you use the proper shears. If you do not, you can tear and snag your ends. When you trim, the goal is to make the hair more healthy. You do not want to use any scissors that will work against this goal.

- In Conclusion

Remember that your ends need love and care. Do this, and your hair will flourish.
